Return to hotel for breakfast there after proceed to the Airport, start the journey to Sigiriya, enjoy a scenic ride to Sigiriya.
Taking off from Katunayake, adjoining airport to BIA get onboard the flight. Accompanied by two pilot dressed in crisp white shirts, you will take off the ground with ease. Flying through a sea of green you will spot paddy fields and blue lakes and rivers. Reaching Sigiriya you will witness the bird like view of the rock fortress. The plane will circle the rock formation few times so that you will be able to take pictures of the unique view.
After landing in Dambulla, you will rejoin the group and visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, before making your way to Jetwing Vil Uyana, which will be your base for the next three nights.
Dambulla is a popular tourist destination in Sri Lanka. The popular cave temple complex in Dambulla dated to the 2nd century BC is declared as a world heritage site by UNESCO. There are over 80 caves in Dambulla, some of which are used for meditation by monks. The Famous Rock temple has five separate caves containing 153 magnificent Buddha statues, 3 statues of Sri Lankan monarchs and 4 Hindu deities.

In the afternoon, go on a game drive in Minneriya National Park. You will get the opportunity to see wild elephants in their habitat.
Minneriya Park is a national park in the North Central Province of Sri Lanka. The park is a dry season feeding ground for the elephant population. Sri Lankan Leopard and Sloth bear which are rare and endangered species also inhabit this area. The park was declared as a wild life sanctuary in order to protect the watershed of Minneriya tank and the wildlife of the surrounding area. The tank is historically important for the country as it was built by King Mahasen in the 3rd century AD.

Trincomalee is situated in the Trincomalee district. The famed Trincomalee harbor is also located here. Further, many historical Kovil are found here, visited by many Hindu and Buddhist devotees. The famous hot springs, whale watching, clean and shallow beaches are some of the other tourist attractions. Nilaveli is situated on the North West of Trincomalee and has one of the best beaches. Tourist industry is blooming here once again after the end of the civil war. Airforce and domestic airport is found at China Bay in the South West part of Trincomalee.

Witness the workings of the place, before making your way to Kandy.Kandy the popular charming hill capital of Sri Lanka is surrounded by hills, valleys, rivers, lakes and waterfalls. It is the cultural center of the island and a UNESCO heritage city. The sacred tooth relic of Lord Buddha is enshrined at the Dalada Maligawa, the temple of the tooth. While in Kandy, a visit to the Royal Botanical Gardens is a must where you can see around 4000 species of plants. The arts and crafts center in Kandy, the main Buddhist monasteries Malwatta and Asgiriya Monasteries are places that must be visited. Kandy is a great place for souvenir shopping and to learn about its rich culture and history.

Peradeniya Botanical Garden is situated in the Central Province of Sri Lanka and visited approximately 2 million people annually. The unusual name is Sinhalese translation of guava plain. The garden is notable for its collection of a variety of Orchids. It is home to various species of plants, spices, medicinal plants and palm trees. It is also one of the largest botanical gardens of Sri Lanka, an artificial lake with water plants including giant water lily and papyrus seeds in found in the center of the garden. Go around the botanical garden on a buggy cart.
On completion, make your way to Helga’s Folly. Helga’s folly is a uniquely kitsch hotel located in Kandy. This is the essential Tea Trails experience. Our Resident Tea Planter will show you first hand the age-old tea making process. First, follow the trail of the planters of old Ceylon, as they trekked through the dense jungle looking for the best slopes on which to plant tea. Then on to watch the tea pluckers pick two leaves and a bud with deft hands.
Then to the factory where the all-important conversion to “made” black tea happens. The machinery used is of very traditional British design, some as old as 100 years. The process is a very artisanal one, unchanged for a century. The tour ends with a tasting of different grades of this great brew.

Orphaned calves and adolescents are looked after until they are ready to be released to natural habitat by the ‘Udawalawe Elephant Transfer Home’ located within the Park. Yala National Park is located between Southern and Uva Provinces of Sri Lanka. It is the second largest park of the country and is also one of the earliest wild sanctuaries. The park was severely damaged during the 2004 Tsunami catastrophe.
